Children and youth
In cooperation with the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Humboldt Forum Berlin, a children's version of the opera Chief Hijangua was created in autumn 2023 to stimulate interest and awareness of Namibian culture among children and young people. Based on this project, we are currently planning further productions with and for children that explore bringing other cultures closer together.
Our workshop formats
Collaborative work is at the heart of our projects. In our workshops for school classes, we offer students the opportunity to actively participate in the artistic creation of a work.
Together, we develop ideas and work through the various steps of the creative process, allowing young people to contribute their own perspectives and thoughts. A central goal is to create a safe space for dialogue about the colonial reappraisal, where this important topic can be discussed openly and respectfully. In this way, we not only encourage creative expression but also raise awareness of historical and social issues.
