People of Song

Under the umbrella of "People of Song" we create various international projects with cooperative and collective project structures.

In a Namibian-German artist collective we want to create our own genre that sheds light on traditional Namibian music before the colonial era. In a kind of musical identity research, new forms of composition and piece development are to be tried out. Dance, body percussion, electronic music, traditional instruments and/or various Namibian languages and dialects will be part of the concept phase. In contrast to traditional European opera, individual characters will not be played by soloists, but by choirs.
